What I do with my Sunday evenings...

Pretty much every Sunday night, this is what we do...

We get together at someone's house, and play Acquire. It's an in interesting game. You place tiles on a board, and those tiles become hotels. You buy stock in the hotels, and whoever has the most money at the end of the game wins. Very Donald Trump... ;-)

This is the game board. The colored tiles are hotels, the grey tiles around them are expanding them... you start out with two tiles to make a hotel, and the other tiles make them bigger, and worth more money. You merge hotels when the tiles from one hotel and another touch. The blurry thing in the picture is Tom's hand... slow shutter speed! Ha ha ha!

This is Cynda, still a slow shutter speed, so it looks like she's counting her money REALLY fast!

We seriously love this game... I highly recommend owning it... it's addictive and amazing.

Sounds like fun!
(THIS one -- http://www.cheapass.com/products/cardgames/cag530.html -- is what I REALLY want. ... The original name, that they got into legal trouble about, was "Before I Kill You, Mr. Bond." It's a BRILLIANT game. I love it so!) (I need to buy it.)

Have fun with Aquire ... and I hope that Thomas never points to you and says, "You're fired."

Very god advertising for our acquire mania...we will sweep the board game world and it will come back to popularity in no time!

And yes I was counting my money because I totally dominated that game. Also thank you for putting up the photo of me eating. Really appreciate that one. But it is better than the one where I am eating and talking at the same time. Wow.

Haha-- so our first post was by my husband and you could probably tell because it doesn't sound like me. Anyways, I wanted to tell you two things. 1) You did a really, really good job at explaining how the game is played. Not to bad. 2) AFter you guys left we played 2 more games.... I won them both. They never saw it coming :) I was feeling pretty high and mighty! We need to get together before you leave!
